The annual Read-a-Thon was a great SUCCESS! We raised a total of $34,334.20 during our Read-a-Thon event, of which Bradley will receive $25,750.65!

Prizes are given for: participation, number of reading minutes, donations, and top classrooms, top readers, school prizes
Top 3 students with most reader minutes in the school get $20 bookstore gift cards
Top 3 students with most fundraising dollars in the school get $20 bookstore gift cards (with the top fundraising student getting an ultimate Raising Cane’s gift basket!)
Student with the most reader minutes per class gets lunch with the teacher
Classroom in each grade with most reader minutes wins a pizza party (date TBD) (with the top classroom in the school getting dessert added on)
Classroom with the top fundraising in the school wins the ultimate recess at Eisenhower Park (date TBD) - AND a classroom party funded by Raising Cane’s!
Read-a-Thon happens each January
PTO’s second semester large fundraiser is an all-school Read-a-Thon! We kick off the new year with lots of reading and fun. This is a great opportunity for our students to work on reaching their AR goals and complete their IB Reading lists, while raising money for our awesome school - it’s a win/win!
HOW IT WORKS
Students activate their own personal Read-a-Thon webpage. This allows students and caregivers to electronically share and collect pledges from family, friends, and neighbors online. No envelopes needed!
Students log their reading minutes daily on their webpage. Please note: if you don’t have a computer, your student can still participate! You can track reading minutes using a paper form and the PTO or your teacher can help you enter those minutes online for your student.
At the end of the Read-a-Thon, the student’s webpage totals up the number of minutes read and the total amount fundraised.
Students and classrooms win prizes for the minutes read and amount fundraised. Students will get to shop their online store for prizes based on what they individually earn, with prizes shipped directly to the school and distributed to the student.
ALL proceeds from the fundraiser go straight back to Bradley! Total fundraising amounts are split between the PTO and the classrooms – each classroom teacher gets a portion of the amount that class earned to use on classroom projects, supplies, books, and more! The PTO portion is spent on school improvements, student tutoring, and fun events/experiences.
